JUMBO stems from the necessity for the Regional Institutions to compete at the highest level in the increasingly competitive international settings. It aims to open new avenues of prospected post-graduate education in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia (FVG) region. It is part of an innovative initiative for training International and national talents into developing scientific enterprises. We expect that JUMBO will have a substantial impact on the international arena.

This innovative project, strongly related to both high education and advanced research, is formulated within a very innovative format and it fully meets the guidelines of both the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and of the Region FVG for increasing the collaboration of the different research and education institutions. JUMBO will lead to new interdisciplinary activities, by further strengthening the collaboration of the different existing groups. This appears of particular importance also in light of accessing National and European (Horizon 2020) resources for high profile, collaborative research.
