JuMBO PhD thesis supervisor: Prof. Michele Morgante, University of Udine
Summary of career/studies
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering in 2014 from U.P. Technical University, India. Then, I gained a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Cheminformatics at Shiv Nadar University, India. My master's thesis was an Erasmus Mundus funded project called BRAVE. It was focused on plant virus metagenomics and co-evolution studies and it was conducted at Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics CBGP (UPM-INIA), Madrid, Spain under Prof. Fernando Garcia-Arenal. I also spent some months working in genomics field as Junior Research Fellow at Indian Agriculture Research Institute in the Division of Nematology. This work experience led to a scientific publication. Currently, I am working on a Marie Curie Action, Horizon 2020 project called EpiDiverse as a part of my PhD. In particular, my aim is to build up high quality genome and to identify chromosome confirmation of Populus Nigra, to segregate its two haplotypes and to identify the Transposons with complete annotations.
