JuMBO PhD thesis supervisor: Dr. Carlo Vascotto University of Udine

Summary of career/studies

I obtained the Master degree in Health Biotechnology at the University of Udine and for three years I have attended the laboratory of Molecular Biology under the supervision of Dr. Carlo Vascotto. During my studies I worked on the characterization of the mechanisms responsible for the mitochondrial translocation of the DNA repair protein APE1. In the last six months I also had the opportunity to work in Dr. Chacinska lab at the IIMCB (Warsaw, PL) widening my knowledge in the field of mitochondrial biology.

Why JuMBO PhD?

JUMBO is a great opportunity to follow my research interests on the role of mitochondria in tumorigenesis and tumor progression/resistance and the correlation with mitochondrial DNA repair and stability.
